Sometimes the best days are the ones you never really plan. A random Friday afternoon, a picnic on the lawns at Waddesdon Manor, and nowhere else we needed to be.
After exploring the house and gardens, we joined a tour of the aviary, where we learnt about the rare and endangered birds that call Waddesdon home. It was one of those unexpected highlights that made us slow down and appreciate the little details.
It reminded me that you don't always need a special occasion to make a day feel memorable. Sometimes a picnic, beautiful surroundings and a few unhurried hours are more than enough.
