Vienna, Austria’s elegant capital, has been at the heart of European history for centuries. Once the centre of the powerful Habsburg Empire, the city is filled with grand palaces, magnificent churches and beautiful Baroque architecture. It was also home to some of the world’s greatest composers, including Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, giving Vienna a remarkable cultural heritage that can still be felt throughout the city.
But for me, Vienna was simply the most beautiful city I have ever visited.
Everywhere you look there is something to photograph. Ornate buildings, grand squares, elegant streets and incredible little details that make even an ordinary walk feel special. One of my favourite experiences was taking a horse and carriage ride through the city, watching Vienna slowly unfold around us. It felt wonderfully old-fashioned and romantic.
And then there was the food. Traditional Austrian dishes, beautiful cafés, pastries and, of course, Sachertorte. There was something rather special about sitting in one of Vienna’s historic cafés and simply taking it all in.
